There are a lot of things worse like being tortured, stabbed, or having a loaded gun pointed to yer heid, but the coverage and hilarity given to a simple bacon roll boils my piss.

Cue @Dad.😄

Do you have any example of such hilarity? It’s not something I’ve witnessed.

as for the topic…I enjoy both. However, it’s not a “butty”. Roll and sausage, or roll and bacon - none of this English butty nonsense.

So you're comfortable with weegie/ hun "roll and x" nonsense?

And it's pronounced "butteh".

Fucking great. A regional variations ‘discussion’. 🥱

It’s a cob in the Midlands.

Seems a strange set of posts given how you feel about regional variation discussions.

It's a fucking bacon roll or a bacon softie you weegie prick.

'Roll and bacon' - Fuck off.

Bacon roll is acceptable.

softie?! Nonsense. Sounds like more soft north east or English nonsense. And going by the proper NE man that used to post here, that would be the same thing.

The phrase bacon roll grates on me due to the fact it spouted so much in a giggly, pathetic manner, so it's definitely a sausage/sausages in a bap/bun (spread with butter) for me.

Why should I have to prove and justify anything to you, you smug prick?

My posts on the subject are quite clear and explanatory.

Now fuck off back into your banquet room as your Sunday roast (prepared by Jeeves and the rest of your lackeys) is getting cold, there's a good boy.

Hi MAD. Merely asked for an example out of interest, as I've never seen/heard such a thing. You then seemed to have forgotten that you'd made such a claim. So, I'll take from that you were talking shite. Or #canz. Or both.

Anyway. Im away for a pint. You enjoy the rest of your day. 🧐😏

You still haven't clarified why you asked.

I have not forgotten whatsoever. Plus it is in writing, so it's a bit hard to forget.

Enjoy your pint with Timothy and Rupert as your local wine bar this afternoon min.👍

Folk I've worked with as well hearing it on the telly, Mick loon.

Example from my time at work, prior to my current status of semi-retirement.......

"I'll hae a bacon roll". (Normally though I would hae a cream pastie).

"Ooh, you're being bad"., followed by a bout of pitiful, nervous laughing after being asked what you would like from the baker.

"Fuck me. You asked me a question and I provided an answer." (It's hardly hilarious).

Golf cunts go on about bacon rolls as well. Cunts.

Aye, spot on. They do indeed min.

Anytime they arranged an annual golf day out at my former local, the flyer up in the bar (trying to get patrons to go on the day out), always mentioned bacon rolls as part of the package (£30 to cover a round of golf, bacon rolls, and transport).

Fuck me, offer a choice of foodstuff, instead of just bacon rolls.

I always thought yer weedgies were saying "roll ON bacon" not "roll AND bacon"

Either way it's a stupid way of saying bacon roll.

You can add Fifers in to that as well……cunts call cheese on toast , toast on  cheese
