His stats would reflect his time when not injured. You would assume the HR would have done their due diligence post ACL injury.

Or its a little bit of a punt knowing he's still a good target man but he may or may not add the goals back? And we know we still have Duk and Miovski for 6-12 months

If he reproduces even close to his previous form the “ prawcess” will be successful

he was seemingly subject to a bid of 1.5 m from millwall last January , could be another ramadani scenario where we make a decent return after a season or so

Yea January 2022 and the discussions were around £1.5m to £2.0m. He then got injured and failed to recapture his form.

if any of the players read these forums they will jump in the sea as the negativity on here is incredible.

According to some on here, players should just suck it up. I don't agree. Whilst they are here the worst should be constructive criticism when warranted, not character assassination. However, such is the world we live in, there are sad people who get off behind the keyboards who go too far.

Thiers a good wee interview with Pape on red tv.

Positive attitude. Says he can play wide as well as a striker, and likes to be technical and to dribble. Likes fishing and skiing and has been out running around the city which he thinks is a good way to see things and better than sitting in the hotel he is living in. Played in Norway and Belgium and seems to adapt well, and said it was tough for the clubs to agree to get him here so he is happy now.

Be interesting to see how he copes being played right wing back by Robson

That or used as a target man with only Duk near him and every other player at least 40 yards away.

Definitely a worry, Robson has said recently after games they “don’t want to play that way” yet the long balls are a big feature of this team- add a big target man and that usually gets worse.

Gueye is not really a target man though, think he's better at having the ball played into his feet then he can bring others into play that way.

Wonder if it’s when the scouts are told to get a big strong target man but time not on their side with transfer windows closing, so it’s a case of ‘ he will have to do as can’t find anyone else’. Hope not, but……

That’d be almost acceptable if it was a cheap loanee, we’ve spent a relative fortune on this boy

It’s Scottish football, you reckon many of our players and coaches will recognise that when they a big gangly lad up top?

It certainly did under McInnes's tenure at our club when deploying that "tactic" with Sam Cosgrove as the sole striker.

I actually felt sorry for Cosgrove when this was used as our main way of getting forward.

For instance, the League Cup game against Dundee in 2019/20 when they were a division below at the time was fucking dreadful and epitomises that notion, as whilst Cosgrove won 90% of his headed challenges during the match, nobody was within 40 odd yards of him. Thank fuck we somehow got an injury time equaliser that day and went on to win the tie AET.

It's a truly tedious way to play the game.
