Cormack is a decent man. I think he'll give Robson till tomorrow lunchtime to think things over with the intention of letting him resign. But if Robson won't do so, he'll (fingers crossed) do what's necessary in the afternoon.

Hopefully the replacement will be watching from the stand in Dingwall on Tuesday, then has the January break to assess the squad and given funds to bring in at least a couple of players before the window closes.

There is absolutely no chance that he resigns. That’s just not a thing managers do. They cling on until the decision is made for them.

Losing to Clyde in the cup will see him punted otherwise I think we will just blunder aimlessly on.

Agree with this.  Right up to the point Lennon is spotted in the stand.

That said, Im actually coming round to the idea.  We are way too soft.  Have been for years.  Lets get a wrecking ball in to rummel them up.

A rational hypothesis, TC. That could possibly happen.

Whatever materialises, Robson, at the very least, has to be put out of his smirking and sacked.

You hear stuff that St Mirren defended well, and while by & large they did, they didn’t have to. Teams can sit in, fairly safe in the knowledge that Robson’s Aberdeen will eventually just make a bad decision on the ball give it away. We had absolutely nothing in the middle of the pitch.

What kind of message does it send out when Barron (Frankfurt) & Polvara (Frankfurt & Livingston) start games, play quite well, then get benched for the next match in favour of Shinnie who is clearly out of “form”. Clarkson was the only one going looking for the ball today but often in very deep or in wide overload-type situations.

I saw someone hand Shinnie a note at the treble sub after 58 or so mins and I’m thinking “wtf!? he’s got to be one of the ones going off” and thank Christ he was (but why give him the note unless it said “hemmin you’re fucking shite”). He needs a spell out of the team. You look to your big characters to drive others on, but his own performance was so bad there is no way others could look to him for inspiration.

Gartenmann & Jensen are a clear downgrade on Pollock & Macdonald and at this rate they’re a downgrade on Bates & Gallagher.

McGarry is one of the poorest footballers we’ve seen here in ten years.

Robson is not turning this around. He keeps saying we’ve bounced back before. We haven’t. He keeps changing to 4-3-3 in second half in games. 4-3-3 is not some kind of all out attack like the “King Jimmy Sounding of the Bugle”. It is a tacit admission that his 3-5-2 isn’t working.

Since time immemorial when you have two teams going at it 3-5-2 v 3-5-2 you end up with a turgid shitfest.

I think that’s me done until Robson’s done.

I'm not on here often enough to appreciate that - Sorry!

My point - There are quite a few who openly admit that they don't go / bother, or contribute

@Millertime reads like he / she is aloof, which only attracts credibility if an individual can be bothered to make a difference in the first place

That's just the character he plays online I think, he's not the attention seeking sort in real life I'm sure. You wouldn't find him submitting stories about himself to the papers like those 'I'm 50 and don't wear a bra!' sorts.

Robson is loving larping as a Tier 1 European manager. That is how he will view himself, CV himself to future clubs. In reality, he should be in Tier 3 getting experience. Conference League requires a manager as good as a Europa League manager, look at Aston Villa, West Ham...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023–24_UEFA_Europa_Conference_League_knockout_phase#Summary

Most of those teams have excellent managers, not some glorified caretaker diddy-man.

GRIM!

Wishful thinking. No way will he sack him. The hole club in every department are a shambles and only 1 cunt to blame for that. Wonder if he'll blubber on radio like the moron he is.

Nothing no one else says but

Mcgarry is not suited to a five

Was McGrath playing

why can’t we manage three in a row three fast balls that is

we play two fast balls then a slow ponderous ball backwards

we have players in the box and never get a ball in

mind you second balls do we ever win one? If we do it’s to lay it back to safety not exploit it

said it before on the Teo Ronnies Mastermind our specialist subject would be name the team and the tactics for the match before

Absolute disgrace today folks.  Not one positive.  Can’t believe he’s still clinging on to the job.  I knew it was far too big a step for him right from the start. He was average with the under 18s.

Cormack needs to toughen up and pull the trigger.  I still believe if we got this useless neep out before the final we could have won it. Absolute shambles.

BR had to get the job he did well last season however this year he has shown he is totally incompetent and stubborn, We have good players just need an experienced manager and get a tactic that gets them to gel and actually play football.

No, BR did not HAVE to get the job last season. That’s a theory by weak minded fans and equally weak minded chairman. He should have been thanked for his job well done and then a proper manager appointed

Ive never understood this nonsense about him HAVING to get the job permanently last season. Utter rubbish

The stubborn cunt was probably thinking he’ll show them by winning against County whilst playing his shite system and tactics

We are in deep shit here. We keep him and he flukes a win against county hes probably here until the end of window unless we lose to Clyde. For the greater good as shameful as it sounds if a loss means he’s def gone I’d take the loss. That’s how bad it’s got. A win would only confirm our season is over as it will drag on weeks/months of us beating a half decent team then losing against 3 shite teams and repeat.

Ok, so who are the candidates to take over? I’d have someone in till summer, give us time to research and find the right one this time. Seasons fucked anyway.

I’ve no idea who to appoint tbh, need a Roy Hodson type just to stop the rot.

I’ve no idea who to appoint tbh,  There in lays the problem, neither do the FMB.
