rgudon
Just purchased a ryder cup practice day ticket for the thursday, looking forward to having a wander round before parking in front of the TV for 3 days to watch the real action. Also entered the ballott for a friday ticket but not that fussed to be honest as im sure it will be so busy that you will hardly be able to see anything. Link to comment

Dynamo
What odds you get? I think he's got a great shout. I took Thorbjorn at 190/1 on betfair. That's just clueless laying, that is. 55/1 on Skybet. Pays out on first 6 places. Link to comment

sooth_stander
I see all the so called experts and media are saying that the wet conditions this week at Merion play right into the hands of Eldrick. I don't get that. When conditions are hard and fast, ie Hoylake in 2006, they said they same, and he won at a canter.Which conditions don't suit him? Or is it the fact that Merion is short and even in the wet conditions, he'll still get away with his 3 wood off the tee?Surely the wet conditions favour a host of players; Rory, Scotty, even Sergio if he get's his act together? Are there any at Merion? Are we allowed anchored putters for this? I hope not as you get an advantage with a normal putter as you can get a right good swing at it. Link to comment

All putters allowed. It's ChutneyLove that gets to make the rules. Not even going to get a game though, we're nowhere near 18 holes. Link to comment
The Boofon
1) Frog Hole at Auchmill (used to be the 6th hole when it was a 9-holer)2) 16th on Hazelheid No 2 course3) 7th at Cullen. Putt all the way down the path.4) 7th at Dufftown5) 2nd at Westhill6) 6th at Huntly7) 2nd/11th at KinlossThe Doo'cot at Banchory is only 88 yards. Is that possible or are you hitting over a gulley? thedandydon
There's a hole at Merion that played 102yds yesterday. The short one at Banchory is all uphill on a plateau so nae really suited to the putter unless you give a fair dunt up the slope.Tough day for the Scots at the US but no disasters. Oor Paul is +3 with a few holes left to play. Link to comment
diamondsr4ever
decent viewing last night, today will go a long way to deciding how this will pan out, Adam Scott looks like he wont be far away, the guy just hits it so so well. Link to comment

soothstander
A lot of people moaning about the course. I prefer watching professional players having to work fir their money on tough courses rather than easily scoring 64s 65s etc. I have enjoyed every second of this tournament. I don't want Phil to win.If not Justin Rose then I'd love it to be Phil. Link to comment
soothstander
What's the love-in with the Californian gambling-addicted long haired fud? If Monty likes him, that's a default hate. ABP.Way he plays the game is all that interests me. Ernie Els to post a score? Too racist? Link to comment
