craegDAMH
Secular society is currently a good example of flat-earth type thinking, with its selective approach to science (flatly denying whatever knowledge doesn't suit it) Knowledge that doesn't suit what? Secularism doesn't have a doctrine which you have to believe in or else. 2 1 Link to comment
BWG
The Catholic Church and its adherents have made a peerless contribution to humanity, notably in the fields of science and education. You should read up on it, you would be surprised. Though your criticism would be applicable to some other religions, for sure. Secular society is currently a good example of flat-earth type thinking, with its selective approach to science (flatly denying whatever knowledge doesn't suit it) and its ridiculous beliefs (e.g. "transgender people" - which is as credible as believing in fairies, no pun intended). You really are such a gigantic fuckwit. 7 1 Link to comment

Clydeside_Sheep
Would you say believing you are the opposite sex is more ridiculous than believing in a all-seeing being who lives in the sky and created the world in six days CS min? Most certainly, especially given our biological sex can actually be determined / shown. Would you say believing that believing the universe had an origin and for a coherent reason was more ridiculous than believing "everything came out of nothing, for no reason"? (Not least given Louis Pasteur has long since proven than life cannot come from non-life.) Link to comment
Clydeside_Sheep
The Catholic Church are certainly peerless when it comes to abusing children and subsequently covering it up. That's not quite true, your Dad was pretty good at it too. Wasn't he, slack arse? Link to comment
Clydeside_Sheep
Knowledge that doesn't suit what? Knowledge that doesn't suit society or the individual. Our recent discussion of abortion is the perfect example. Science demonstrates one thing, society either ignores it, denies it or pretends its ambiguous. Secularism doesn't have a doctrine which you have to believe in or else I wasnt meaning to attack secularism per se. The trouble with not having to believe anything is that then truth becomes optional, as per above example. Surely we all have to believe that which is the truth. We dont get to make up our own truths, or our own science - we are all bound to accept these as they are. Link to comment

Does that mean you accept the science of climate change? And the truth that your Church covered for and protected people actively involved in the ongoing fucking of children? Link to comment

Edit - which can be quite funny admittedly (slagging him about it, not the actual shagging) Link to comment

Henry
He does a bit. The Catholic thing seems to annoy a lot of folk. I think what annoys folk is his ability to turn any off-topic thread into a debate on transsexuals or abortion or whatever. See the recent black lives matter thread for an example. Link to comment

Look what's becoming......fashion faggotry. Dangerous times. They even go on about accepting all this Islamic shit and even wanting to convert to Islam. I told my daughter to tell them from me......and I was deadly serious, that the very people you speak of will have you thrown off a rooftop blindfolded for your distorted views.Where does the madness end?I was content wanking off to Kathy Lloyd and Maria Whittaker, innocent perversion.Forgive my ignorance Mr Pipes, what is a pansexual? 1 Link to comment

A lot of it was going on whilst I was a college. People seem to be desperate not to be accepted whilst our culture is desperate to accept anyone and anything. Dangerous combo that! Link to comment

Henry
Forgive my ignorance Mr Pipes, what is a pansexual? Quick google there reveals it's someone who is capable of being attracted to anyone - man, woman, trannie, "inter-sex", "third-gender" etc. Apparently this is different to being bi-sexual. Ludicrous stuff. Link to comment
