Lencarl
Whoever's running this show at HMRC is really doing everything by the book, and has refused to allow HMRC to become part of the circus. So while there's nothing but hysteria, threats, demands, and a gnashing of teeth from the Huns and their compliant West Coast 'Media', HMRC is simply above it all and getting on with their own job. I think for Green, or any damned, dirty Hun, to make assumptions of intent based upon HMRC's silence is foolish in the extreme. Correct All we have heard is what Rangers are going to do since this saga began. HMRC are the silent assassins wating to strike Link to comment

HMRC are the silent assassins wating to strike Read a post earlier of a Rangers fan. Rangers are going to be in a super strong position in a couple of years time either they go debt free with a CVA or end up the newco route with a few years of hurt but also end up debt free Then with Ibrox valued at Link to comment

sheepiekev
Interesting quotes from Steven Thomson at United....... STEPHEN Thompson fears Scottish football could do a Gerald Ratner and chase away supporters by ignoring their opposition to a newco Rangers. Twenty years ago the backside infamously fell out of Ratner Link to comment

sheepiekev
Why not? I hope every chairman informs his teams' supporters which way they've voted. This should be public information, surely the fans will demand to know? In fact, any vote on a Newco should be televised live and the chairmen should be made to explain the reason for their vote. No more 'secret squirrel' shit. I'd imagine because the huns are scummy cunts that will physically threaten anyone or anything that stands in their way?Ironically their bullying is actually having the opposite effect of it's intention. Dandyesque
ote from GreenU"We could watch the grass grow, or put sheep on the pitch. Make some money in livestock but it would be difficult for clubs in Scottish football to make money without Rangers." I wasn't aware that the purpose of football clubs was to make money. If so, they've been doing a pretty poor job of it even with rangers, so getting rid shouldn't make too much difference. Link to comment

Lencarl
Papped off a letter to Milne last week stating that if a Newco scenario comes around and they vote no then they can count on ST money from me, even though I won't make many of the games. That said, I'm not overly fussed he isn't mouthing off to the papers at present. He's never been that sort of chairman, so he certainly wont start gobbing off about hypotheticals, that's for sure. Fans of AFC would respect him more if he made his feelings known like Stephen Thompson Link to comment

Redmist1903
Another thing that folk seem to be losing sight of recently is that if the SPL clubs vote no to a newco and there are no Rangers in the SPL next season then they can push through a new voting system and get the money more evenly distributed between the teams. I think this will be a massive factor in the minds of club Chairmen now and if it isn't it blooming well should be! This is a great chance to get changes pushed through, even if they are only gone for a season, make the most of it. This will fuck off Celtic as well. Win win! Link to comment
Reddod
Hi Guys havn't posted for yonks. Just to say that I wrote to my local MP (Malcolm Bruce) to say I was furious at the prospect of Rangers getting away with paying approx 8% of the taxes that they owe. To be fair to him he replied and also enclosed a copy of a letter he had sent to Lin Homer (Chief exec of HMRC) explaining that his constituent (me obviously) does not believe the CVA offer represents value for the tax payer and to take my views into consideration. OK I know one letter is not decisive but at least it is action in the real world instead of just ranting on websites (although I must admit, it is fun). Link to comment

Ke1t
The only reason for a secret vote is so that clubs can vote the Huns back in with minimum repercussion from their own fans. In other words they'll all be voting FOR Newco, or at least giving tacit approval for the YES vote. It's a stitch up... and FIFA or UEFA should be brought in to ensure that justice trumps greed and funny handshakes. There's no way in which any newly formed football club should be admitted into the top division, even moreso in light of the unashamed, prolonged cheating that created that Newco. Our own clubs are too cowardly and too greedy to expel the Hun. Our own authorities are too much in bed with the Hun to even want to expel the Hun. The only way any kind of real justice will be done is by involving REAL authorities, rather than the hick backslappers that typify Scottish Football. Link to comment
