ollie1903
he makes an impact preseason, but I have my doubts. Or we'll sign him and his legs will give way a couple months in. Clearly you weren't on yesterday. There's a thread basically been hijacked, can't remember what one it was with songs dedicated to our resident nonce. Big Man posted an article about a nonce on the run in Wick and then he started making suggestive comments about Ollie's loon. Coincidence?Whilst looking at a photay. Fact. Link to comment
Geoff_Tipps
Personally I was hoping we would go down the Mark Wilson route. Link to comment
Karl Fletcher
I think Naysmith should be number 1, Clark Robertson isn't quite good enough, and the best player he could learn from would be Naysmith. Clever signing if Clark will be our left back for years to come... Agreed. Quite like Robertson but I don't think he's ready to be playing week in, week out at the LB spot. Naysmith would be an excellent signing if he can prove his fitness. Link to comment

muttonhumper
34....hmmm. See how he does in pre season I suppose.Aye. Hink he's 34 in November.I've always liked Naysmith as a player.Wis excellent at one time.Hopefully still got something aboot him. 3rd time lucky. Link to comment
Redmist1903
Wouldn't mind getting him in but there's a severe lack of pace in our defence this season and he won't be helping with that! Our midfield must be amoungst the slowest in the SPL also when you have guys like Rae, Osbourne, Jack, Milsom, Hughes all potentially playing in a five man midfield! Link to comment
King Street Loon
Might sign him until just before the end of August.Just before the transfer window closes, he's then free to sign for someone, and Robertson might be back fit? Naysmith wouldn't entertain that and neither he should. I know I wouldn't if I were in his shoes. I think Naysmith should be number 1, Clark Robertson isn't quite good enough, and the best player he could learn from would be Naysmith. Clever signing if Clark will be our left back for years to come...Agreed. I'd be all for this signing.Adds another bit of experience to the back line and the team as a whole. Link to comment

V for Vendetta
No doubt we need a second left back to rotate with Clark Robertson. I don't want to see Milsom or Considine playing there thanks. Naysmith will probably still be a decent player at our level but you have to wonder just how far he might have dropped since Everton and Scotland days. I always thought it was odd that one moment he was a Scotland regular then he disappeared from the reckoning. I know he had injuries but just how much have they affected him I wonder. He didn't drift out of the international team as he got older - he seemed to just fall away rapidly when he should have been at his peak. Link to comment

baconman
I predict he'll officially be an Aberdeen player before they get back from Germany, Him and Reynolds would be great. Solid defence, ok midfield and improved forward line with Hayes and Mcginn? Link to comment
E-P-K
I predict he'll officially be an Aberdeen player before they get back from Germany, Very unlike AFC if this happens, Normally at this point, a club from Englandshire would offer more, much more, and thats the end of the matter. Link to comment

sheepiekev
Did he look ok in his 20 mins anyone know? To be fair they were up against a team that wouldn't have given the Torry Under 12's a game. Link to comment

E-P-K
To be honest, AFC's whole dealings from January onwards have impressed me for once. Very little fannying about with contracts, Arnie and Fyvie indicate their off and two replacement are immediately sourced with the wages. Considine and Vernon signed up early on, those not being kept on advised shortly after the end of the season. Strengthen in our weak areas, and looking to bring in Naysmith and Reynolds which, along with the youth intake, would see us about right. I usually despair at this time of year, but I'm impressed that lessons seemed to have been learned. Yes, to be fair in very recent times they have been better, which is good, no player should be able to dick the club about like we have seen numerous times over the years. Link to comment

That picture described 97% of residents south of Stonehaven in the early noughties, hence Rossafc92 tirade, he is from Lothian, and close to Naysmith place of birth, he feels it as a personal attack... Yeah shut the f*ck up........................... I hope you're wrong. Reynolds is obviously surplus at Sheff Wed which does surprise me. He's good enough for eng champ. I think Reynolds enjoyed his stint here last season and with Rangers out of the picture there is a greater chance of achieving things. Plus i dont see any other team in spl signing anyone of any note. 1 Link to comment

Redstar
Don't think there'll be much difference between ourselves and Bristol Rovers, Brown might have to give him a lift in his motor somewhere as he did with Hayes. Are you suggesting Broon is now "sucking off" players in the back off his Austin Princess to get them to sign...Jesus...didn't think things were that bad 1 1 Link to comment
