The_Next_Legend
anyone else pissed off that young players who have played mojority of the season to get them into a position to win the league, get dropped so shite like Maynard can play. Bit of a kick in the steens if you ask me, what motivation do you get if you could be dropped any minute to allow someone stealing a wage at senior to take your place? Link to comment
RUL
Agree with miller, couldn't give a fuck about u20s winning the league. 1 Link to comment
Sheepo
Bring Reynolds, Ball, Maynard and Cosgrove in and the 20s suffer a defeat says it all really Link to comment
Parklife
Winning doesn't matter, although it will to the young lads. Playing in a big game (comparatively) might've helped their development and enabled them to develop a big game mentality though. Instead we throw in over age bottlers who do fuck all and we lose. Parklife
Eh. We have a cup semi on Sat and some players needed 90 mins. Let's play over/under: Maynard & Cosgrove. Over or under 0.5 minutes on Saturday? Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Well Cosgrove is a young player still developing so I don't see any problem with him playing in this development league. Ball getting a match at right back makes sense. Reynolds... Well maybe for the same reason although not sure im looking forward to how this line up is shaping up. Maynard is the real mystery, no idea why he's keeping one of the young lads out of that game. Link to comment
Donnet
Maynard has played a lot Who was dropped? You also pissed off when Lewis played a few weeks back? Not sure if you know or not but the full team is more important than the u20s Playing Maynard for he U20s earlier in the season made sense to keep his fitness up for potential first team action. His last appearance for the first team was 25th of Feb when he came on in the 90th min. He played 20 mins of football in Feb spread over 4 games. Since Feb he's been an unused sub twice and not in the matchday squad 5 times. None of the players being selected infront of him are out of the semi final. He leaves the club in 6 weeks. To play him in yesterdays match was outright odd. I don't see how that compares to our first team keeper getting 90mins after a long injury. 1 Link to comment

alscotoz
Not possible now but IF celtic had got to final and both senior teams had done same, would there ever have been a possibility of the final being a curtain raiser to the main game? Link to comment
Donnet
Just a note that last years Youth Cup Final was streamed live on youtube and facebook, but that might only have been because it was Celtic v Rangers and the police didn't allow tickets to be on "general sale". Only a small section for each team was allowed - basically players friends and family and club staff. Link to comment
