Leighton Sacked

Recommended Posts

It seems legit enough on paper. Scott Brown said when he signed he expected to move up here and become a much better keeper because he'd never had a dedicated keeping coach before. Under Leighton he's gone backwards if anything. Brown seems like a reasonably intelligent guy so maybe he discussed it with Clangers and got him on board as well. It's been clear to most folk for a long time now that Leighton isn't up to the task and has been living on borrowed time.

Any word on a replacement yet?

The story around the town is that Brown and Langfield complained, McInnes asked him to look at changing his methods and he refused.

No sympathy for the man. Was always a 'job for the boys' deal he was on anyway.

I find it bizarre climbing frame face would complain about anything, if it wasn't for Leighton being his pal and an utterly clueless goalkeeping coach he'd of frog marched out of pittodrie years ago.

This stinks of Clangers looking for a scapegoat for his poor goalkeeping.

Brown is obviously impressionable and easily led to go along with the complaint.

I'd agree with this...Langfield is lower than a snakes belly...putting the knife into Leighton to try and save his own miserable skin...poor even by his own low standards.

Marshall worked with Rogers last season.

Rogers would train 2 days a week with AFC travel down to the central belt and then train 2 nights a week with Dumbarton and 2 days a week with Motherwell towards the end of the week.

Pish. Who told you that?
