Was that true of every person who went off for such reasons, or just a couple, so you generalise?

Pretty poor to be in a managerial position and generalise your staff, IMO.

And so fuck if they took 90 days and did what they wanted? Is it coming out of your pocket?

Also, if someone is off from work with an issue that impacts their work, and quality of work, but is able to still socialise etc, why is that such a bad thing? Are they just supposed to become a shut in because they have an issue?

What a fucking geek you are, min.

And if you are the person doing 2 jobs to cover for that person being off and still able to go out partying. Is that fair also

Blame the company, min.

If you're expected to exceed a role over your pay grade, that's not in control of the employee. But I guess if you're a middle management kiss arse geek, upsetting the apple cart isn't your kind of thing. You'd rather weasel the other employees.

I say, why didn't the passport office have appropriate measures in place to avert this situation?

What measures some cardboard staff in the cupboard in case required?

No, employing the appropriate amount of people to deal with any such situation, or hiring more.

Most big institutions can afford that, no problem. The issue comes more so with small businesses, which I'm sympathetic to.

That’s not really the issue! By taking of substantial sick leave you are not entitled to doesn’t stick it to the man. It effects normal people day to day, going to doctors appointments, on holiday, getting paid etc . No business has a stack of extra staff sitting in a corner in case somebody doesn’t come in that day.  You apply for a job to do that job as agreed , you can be ill but not out partying etc. if you saw an AFC player not playing due to illness but out giving it large you’d be right on his case

Honestly Consie, I know that in a few years time you will re-read some of these posts and cringe at how naive you were.

Not at all.

I'm saying people can be off for a number of reasons, and your judgement of them as a middle manager is poor.

Policing other folks lives because your company are making you do two work loads is pathetic.

"You are not entitled to?" I don't understand? Of course you're entitled to it, that's why it's "sick leave."

I know stories of people taking time off work for mental health reasons, perfectly legitimate, and their work forces their hand for them to come back early, as the SSP will only worsen their situation.

"You can be ill but not out partying" does every illness mean you can't socialise, like?

What if it's the job causing you stress because you're having to do two jobs due to the company 😂

Would hate to work with you pair of busy body cunts, like.

I liked his line about  'don't all men lie to impress?' on a date. And getting upset about the film crew all being white. Absolute arsehole.

Meh, he used deflection tactics because he was floundering about getting caught.

Sure I'd say something daft as well.

Not sure why you're making excuses for him. Actually, I do know.

I'm not saying it's an excuse, I'm saying it's a pretty normal act if you're desperate, to be shitty like so.

The guy was entrapped, canna be applying morality to his reaction to that, he was duped by a dirty trick.

You appear to have misunderstood what my original point was, I am not talking about every person who goes off sick more the few who are repeat offenders who have had "suspected this or that" that never gets proven and they move onto the next fad illness i.e. long COVID.

For those who are genuinely ill, I have yet to anyone not get the support they require or the time off required. Appreciate that's my own experiences and won't be the case everywhere.

And don't worry, you will never work with a so called busy body cunt like me, I would never give you the chance in the first place.
