We're talking at cross purposes here, I think. MB believes the SNP are "using" the pandemic to decrease drinking (I'd suggest lockdown restrictions may have led to increased drinking). That'd be wrong imo. 

Overall, decreasing alcohol consumption in Scotland is, IMO, a good thing.
