Terrible news. Heart goes out to those who've lost their jobs and everyone impacted by Stewart Milne Group going bust.

They made their bed. It’s a transient workforce. Anyone of value will find work in a similar role elsewhere.

Hard to see how he’s gone bust when the price of houses are through the roof, scuse the pun. £250-£300k for a semi etc.Block of flats could rake in £600k for 6 flats. Know someone at Mugiemoss, the density of that place is unreal. Used to be builders built 2 houses and the 3rd one free from the profit of first two.

sorry for the employees.

Getting a mortgage maybe the issue with the mental interest rates.

Scottish housebuilding needs a strong Stewart Milne Group.

No idea what the fuss is about

if he just puts the word “the” in front of his business name, most punters and press will just pretend the firm hasn’t gone bust and deride anyone that suggests otherwise. There’s prior. He won’t have to pay any face painters previously employed by SMG either.

Why? His personal fortune will not be affected.

He’s put 200 folk on the dole, however.

Hundreds made redundant, many lost house deposits and a trail of debt with many companies who have supplied goods to his company in good faith. He will be putting other companies at risk due to his and his executives incompetence. Should do the decent thing and resign from his position at AFC

He retired from the business about 18 months ago 🤷

Garbage as per from you. Milne sold up years ago.

The bank blocked one of the options for a sale that would have kept the jobs according to Milne.

Probably Milne's own bid. I'm sure it'll have been a cheeky one to try and pick it up again on the cheap though

What l have written is fact. Whether you agree with it or not that is up to you. Must have been a very strange bid if a bank allows the company to go bust rather than allow a sale that in itself is strange. Will be interesting to see the full facts of their debts. I know the company owe some suppliers  well over £150000. Hope they survive as comfortably as Milne will.

Surprised to see facts stacking up against Gman again. Thicker than a mongol’s neck.

Again your totally inappropriate use of words is pathetic. People can have different views to you without the need to use such low level language. You never answered my previous question about how you are related?

He no longer has anything to do with the business, so you'll need to explain how it's a fact that he himself is putting other companies at risk? And "his executives" - how are they his executives if he does not employ them?
