The third midfielder needs to be hellava good for Barron+McCrorie+NEW to be a combination to take us up the league

Likely to be taking Ferguson, McGeouch, Jenks, Ojo & Campbell out of next seasons midfield possibilities?

Leaves us McCrorie, Barron & a completely untried Polvara.

We’d need 3 centre mids of varying quality/standard?

The minutes Goodwin is giving Polvara is a bit concerning.

He’s maybe absolutely pish and that’s why he’s not getting any time on the pitch. That wouldn’t make it concerning.

Concerning in the sense that it would suggest we’ve signed a haddie?
On a 2.5 year contract as well.

Aye.

If he's not trusted with 5 minutes this season then he won't be developing to a starter in next 2-3 months

A loan or unused sub next season

He may be absolutely pish. We don't know yet.

However it's not a surprise that he's barely played. We've been in a bit of a dog-fight and pitching a guy who's only played US College football and has just returned from a hernia injury right in to the team probably wouldn't be the smartest move.

The last few games of the season, now that the pressure is off, will be very instructive though.

Aye, although only a horror show in the next 2 games would give us any reason for concern, you'd think Goodwin will want to wait until we're mathematically safe before experimenting with the likes of Polvara.

Hopefully get that fixed this weekend and that leaves the final 2 games for Goodwin to do as he wishes with fringe players, youngsters and systems.

We've been overstocked with central midfielders in the last couple of seasons but could see 4 leave since January and there be a question mark remaining over Polvara's ability/use.

Ach let's give the lad a chance.  He's only played about 5 minutes in total and arrived with a hernia injury and zero professional football experience.

Hopefully will get a chance to play in the last 2 games then a good loan in the first half of next season where he can get regular starts would be beneficial for him.

You’d think people would realise this but here we are.

Michael Hector, Odin Bailey, Levitt, Allan Forrest, Jamie McCart and Siegrest all out of contact at the end of the season.

Take all of those in a heart-beat tbh, doubt we'd be able to get Levitt, Hector or Seigriest but the rest would certainly be an upgarde to our team

Knock the charles dunne £200k transfer fee on the head, and use it to get Hector

Wouldn’t think we could afford his wages as I can’t see him dropping from Chelsea to Fulham to us wages wise?, surely not
