strachanmcgheegoal
Thing is I’ve seen literally minutes of the loon, in fact longer in a Kelty strip than an AFC one. If this gets him to screw the nut he could be our next Nicky Low But he can suck up £250 a week less to make sure he learns his lesson. Link to comment

If Clarkson signs because he sees this as a good career move. He wants games. He wants to play in Europe, better himself as a player then probably be ready to move onto a bigger club/bigger wages. All the things Barron can't see. Sad, really. They can't play in the same side, IMO. Too similar. Link to comment
Tord31
Interesting to see what he does in the next two months. Weird one now, compared to last summer, for the club as his value across this window and the next two is probably roughly the same so there is little incentive to sell. Will he finally sign a new deal, move this summer or everyone leaves it for another window? Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Unless he's got a move lined up his best move would be to get himself fit over the summer and try and break into the team on a more regular basis next season. There are plenty of games to go around if he shows the right attitude. Link to comment

Odd definition of similar considering one is a lazy limited player who has bought in to the delusion that he was better than us and the other is a hungry talented midfield dynamo who is going to very far and win us trophies 1 Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
That’s my thought too (but I’ll defer to those who have seen more of him than I). There’s bound to be a role for the 75 minute sub once we’re cruising 2-0. Use him to rotate and protect particularly Clarkson, Ramadani and, hopefully, Shinnie. And let’s be honest, not the worst three to be learning from. That’s the role we need filled by someone. And yes, by cruising 2-0 I of course mean 1-0 and holding on by our fingertips. Point stands. I'd assume if he still gets the option to sign a deal with us, it will be vastly reduced on the one he was offered last year. And rightly so. 1 Link to comment
Dave Bus
Time for this guy to step up. No central midfielder signed so got to rely on what we have. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Aye. Could be a reprieve for Barron. He was looking a bitty trimmer in the warm up last night I thought. Just think, it was only 12 months ago folk on here were wanting millions for him. Link to comment

RAZOR
I wonder if the contract is still on the table for him? Last news was that he kept refusing to sign. Not done himself any favours. Link to comment

Rubin
Yes Barron could return to his previous form & besujen could do exactly what Morris does with the benefit of passing the ball & having a decent pop at goal but the management is the real problem 2 Link to comment
ABERDEENROWIE1903
He is hopeless couldn't even loan him out to anyone Season bench warmer season 23/24 Another season where he makes a zero contribution Link to comment

ullevi
He played about 10 good games for us and his agent must have told him clubs were looking at him so don’t sign, he gets an injury and we take in Clarkson, clubs won’t be sitting waiting on a 21 year old who hasn’t played in over a year and now can’t sign for another 6 months. Badly advised by agent and parents who saw pound signs, he should have signed up like Ferguson and at least got the club a few quid 1 Link to comment
aberdeen1970
He needs to get his head down and force his way back into the team. It's in his and our best interests that he does so whether he's leaving next summer or not. He needs us and we need him this season. 1 Link to comment

Slow as fuck & too easily swatted aside as he’s so small. If we’re having to play him in big games, we’re struggling Link to comment
ABERDEENROWIE1903
Honestly we don't need this guy he is just taking a wage There is no way he will ever make an impact at this level or ar AFC He is so lucky that we failed to get another midfield player in at the last moment So for now he keep his boots clean and keep his permanent seat on the bench Hopefully somebody takes him on loan at the next window Link to comment

Yes, really liked Connor Barrin when he first came through the youth team and that Scottish Cup debut v Edinburgh City that Dave Cormack so kindly gave us free after two and a half years no games but still full charge to retain my season ticket seat !! 1 Link to comment
Helmet
There’s always a way back, but he’s got to earn it. If he can’t be arsed fighting his way into this team he might as well pack it in because isn’t going to make it anywhere with that sort of attitude. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Played well today. Composed under pressure and tried to move the ball quickly, made a few tackles as well. It's in his and our best interests that he knuckles down and gets some games under his belt. We're going to need him, at least between now and January. Today was a good start. Link to comment
