also the £450k was only the SD legal costs invoiced prior to the hearing. The final legal bill will therefore be a bit higher.

Hummel, Elite and/or Sports Direct can apply for a bankruptcy order to be filed against RIFC, which in turn will initiate liquidation proceedings against them, if they fail to pay the apportioned legal fees by the date set by the presiding judge, 16/08/2019. Although the judge ruled in favour of Sports Direct only, Hummel and Elite have suffered and will suffer, in the long-term, as a consequence of RIFC's civil wrongdoing, therefore are legally permitted to apply for such an order against RIFC due to them being in breach of contract, i.e. not giving Sports Direct first refusal to sell their replica kits in accordance with the terms of original contract of which Hummel and Elite were contractually and financially party to.

They have to pay £450k by 4pm on the 16th August to cover SD's costs but the killer blow may be the damages awarded by the court which will be decided at a later date.

 

Should be interesting and given the judges comments on how Sevco presented themselves in court I am hoping he hits them with a massive fine.
