Aberdeen V Killie

Recommended Posts

Been a visitor to this site for a long time but finally posting...

Today's result was very predictable - Yes, the injuries aren't helping but I cannot help but feel this is becoming an overused excuse. The injury list should present opportunities for other players to come in with determination to seize their chance... but I don't see this happening.

I think we've flattered to deceive this season and our flirtation 'near the top' appears to have been a very false position.

You can't fool the fans - attendances are falling sharply again. The 18k vs celtic included a good number who probably thought - yeah, same old same old...

Extremely frustrating since this season represents a golden chance to do something postive in the league - time will tell...

Very good first post.

+1

I've not seen what happened but regardless...Langfield is a fu*king Jonah and no mistake...if he wasn't there (which would be the majority of the fans wish) it wouldn't have happened...Broon is making not only the club but the city look pith-less...fu*k off you worthless GWT

You weren't there.

You haven't seen it....

Yet you seem to think you're qualified to comment.

You aren't.

Shut the fuck up.

Never a red & doubtful it was a penalty.

Settle pettle...from what K9 (a decent poster) has said Langfield made a complete bollox of things...which is kind of what I said...if he wasn't on the pitch it wouldn't have happened

To have such a strong opinion when u haven't seen it is laughable.

You are a complete cock.

Now now...settle down, when did you suddenly start defending Langfield?...If he wasn't in goal he wouldn't have been sent off and the team wouldn't have been down to 10 men...as before Langfield is costing us more points than he's saving us...which even you must see is an untenable situation :dontknow:

Langfield is crap. I agree.

My point is you are talking about something you haven't even seen....making your opinion totally irrelevant .

I always cringe when folk who were not at the game slate the performance.

Not good enough. Never a red but definite pen although Clangers took an age to get off his line to get near the guy. Move started with Vernon losing the ball on the edge of their box.

Second half we were a bit better although the closest we looked to scoring was Magennis screamer from about 30 yards which says it all. Second goal came from Vernon ridiculously taking the ball off of Hayes toes on the edge of their box when Jonny was about to shoot. He was a waste of a jersey today and sounds like it's been that way since he came in to the team.

Robertson - useless. Any time the ball is played over the top of him we were in danger. His passing was awful and Reynolds made a couple of great tackles to cover for him.

Their second goal looked a great finish. Will need to see the highlights to decide if Brown could have done better although I didn't think he had a chance at the game.

All in all I think Killie deserved the points.

Also one of the worst refereeing performances I've witnessed in a long time.

Completely agree with all of this except saying Killie deserved the points. Still think a draw would have been a fair result.

Will have to see it again but i think there was a bobble on the pitch when Vernon was away to get the ball in the lead up to the penalty incident, but how the guy never got stopped running straight through the midfield was an absolute joke

was definitely a penalty, was definitely not a red card as it was not a goal scoring opportunity and there were defenders getting back (so not last man). dont think anyone should panic. we are still in the cup and still in touching distance of top 3 or 4. could still yet be a brilliant season that had a few shitey games in it or may be a mediocre season. by march time we should start panicing.

I can't remember us threatening OJ. We had more of the ball in the second half (going from memory) but I thought Killie looked more dangerous in the final third, very direct. We weren't getting enough people in the box to put in early crosses so as when we got up there the wingers had to dally and by the time we got our midfielders in to support Killie had packed the box.

No point in playing a 6 ft odd striker up top if he's never going to be in the box either.

Looked a penalty, hard to argue against it.

But a red card?

NEVER.

If we don't win that appeal, then there's no point in appealing again.

Bloke was going away from goal, might not have even got the ball, and we had one or two players covering.

Inept refereeing - down grade idiots like this to referee shite in the Third Division like the Rangers.

And the second goal was offside when the Killie player was passed the ball on the left of our box.

We were shite today, but the officals were as bad.

What a shite game to sit and watch. The young loons we have are decent but not good enough to come on and make an impact when they have no experience round about them.

Shaughnessy is solid, his legs are about as tall as I am! He gets his foot in from a distance! Hopefully he will push into the squad.

Robertson, not too great today but I like him as a player. Hopefully his injury hasn't fucked his confidence.

Rae was all over the pitch but he doesn't have the support he needs round him.

McGinn couldn't break Killie.

Vernon.... Needs dropped. His dog must be ill as he just looks to be elsewhere just now.

Keepers.....SHIT

Hayes was ok, but like Rae doesn't have the support around him.

Consi, was ok but no-one will give us the stability and simplicity we need at the back like Anderson does.

Magennis, what a fecking dig from about 40 yards.

Overall frustrating as fuck to watch and boring. Was it just me, or did the entire team look door as fuck? No motivation and just went through the motions today?
