Dandyesque
Presumably we are still after a defensive or deep midfielder if Forrester as seen as being moved forwardOur interest in McGeoch would indicate as much Link to comment
Mr John
Did anyone on here predict the Forrester signing? We all want new CMs and full backs, do we know if we're scouting anyone? I've got to admit, a lot of last season's signings were surprises, but the pattern seems to be English lower league also-rans or SPFL players who aren't getting a game. Who fits that category? It's the equivalent of shopping at TK Maxx. You might find a few decent items, but can never get a full outfit that matches. Link to comment

Most specifically McInnes likes to target english based players who have played in Scotland. you wouldn't be surprised if one of these lads turns up at Pittodrie. Happily I don't think McInnes strategy is quite that simple (much as I've criticised our scouting). I do think we look beyond these guys from time to time and we have brought plenty to the club that didn't have any spfl experience before. Link to comment
Scotty_Toronto
Signed, but still to play for us... Devlin 24 Ferguson 18 Forrester 25 McInnes didn't really have to 'rebuild' in his second and third seasons like he had to last and this. Pleased (so far) with the foresight of hoping to keep a young talented squad together (just for the sake of stability alone). Not sure how a Kenny Miller would fit into that. We need a shake-up of our strikers, and there's a lot to be said for experience, but I'm not seeing it (unless he could do a job by coming on after 60 -70 minutes for a season). Wages would be another issue... they'd have to be weighted on performance/bonuses (if possible). Link to comment

Scotty_Toronto
The very same, but for the first time we have McInnes admitting fault and being determined to put that right. (On the flip side, you could have chosen to just as easily list the players they got right which on their budget is more difficult.) Link to comment
