Fridge
Steaks are for people with no personalityNot a great steak fan either. Went to Gaucho’s on Canary Wharf on a works trip about 5 years ago? Anyway thought it was fucking good they took out your meat on a chopping board and asked you what cut you wanted before you ordered. Honestly the bill was horrendous, 4 of us was about £1200. Was a 50/50 as to whether to fire it through expenses or just take the hit for fear of P45. Fired it in and had a quick word with the AP lassie to ignore it and got away with it somehow. alscotoz
Decent steak = medium rare, no sauce Cheap steak = medium rare, peppercorn sauce. I would agree with this. Also like a bit of horseradish on the side. Link to comment

Don Fonte
Rib-eye, m/r Diane or peppercorn sauce (I make the world's greatest peppercorn sauce). If no sauce then mustard. Served with an assortment of sides. Creamed leeks with bacon a favourite. Link to comment

Fridge
Similar thought about steak tartare. Raw beef and egg, no thanks.I got taken out by a client to a restaurant in Warsaw, was fucking ridiculous weird. In a old asylum, everyone got Steak Tartare as a starter, must admit I struggled with it. In a complete random turn of events there was some sort of gumball rally going on and a massive party going on at my hotel with Ferrari’s etc parked outside. Ended up getting smashed with Tony Hawkes the skateboarder. Slept in for my flight the next day. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Can’t remember the name but their clear soup with the sausage in is funny. Never seen anything, never mind eaten, that looks more like a used cludgie in my life! We laughed. Link to comment
styrofoamplates
Aye, they go mad for their Filet Americain here in the Netherlands, which is basically raw lean steak, pureed with pepper and an egg and made into a paste that they spread on their toast. Mind you, they also cover their toast in chocolate sprinkles and eat that for breakfast too. I'll stick with my Frosties ta. Link to comment

Foster14
Had steak tartare in Switzerland 10 years ago. Not being particularly culinarily aware was surprised by what arrived, but enjoyed it muchly. I'm 33. Steak is rare or medium-rare. Depends on the cut, and where I am ordering it. Link to comment
