IMO it’s all politics. Emperor McGowan has nothing but praise for Victoria (Labour) who had literally 10s of people dying some days last year but is full of boasts and criticism for NSW (Liberal) with their 2-3 days deaths a day.

The PM ScoMo is liberal and fuckin useless, so easily walked all over by all of the above.

Surely they must know that zero Covid isn’t a sustainable strategy long term. I mean they’re not thick as fuck so obviously other agendas are at play here, whether it’s political or other.  Its an absolute disgrace the way they are handling it currently.

There are several premiers who seem to genuinely believe it is achievable. 
 

ScoMo has said we’ll get 80% jabbed and then see what’s what, which in itself is shite but he’s open to international travel and living with covid.  If some states go along with that and not others, those that don’t will effectively cut themselves off from the rest. NSW will always have covid now, so no one from there will ever be allowed here again, at least according to the statements being made. It is crazy, but at least it’s waking up the masses.

What if we’d followed the UKs approach?

Based on the same death rate as the UK, Perth could have expected 4000 deaths with covid in 500 days. We’ve had 9. Yes, obviously our approach was best as per parky and his infinite wisdom.

But then, how many people have died in Perth in the last 500 days? Approximately 35,000. So even if we accept all 4000 covid deaths were of people who wouldn’t die anyway, we’d have had approximately 10% higher deaths than normal. Big fuckin deal.

Then take in to account the warmer climate, which would likely result in less transmission as people spend more time outdoors and the fact that plenty of covid deaths are those that are of people who were dying anyway and the numbers become statistically insignificant.

Why this is never broadcast, printed or even accepted as an alternative possibility is why people believe there is something afoot.
