16,000 capacity.
1,500 for away fans.

Leaves 14,500 for home fans.
Apparently of that 14,500, 1,500 are corporate hospitality.

That leaves just 13,000 for ordinary Joes.

That’s too little.

We need 18,000 as a minimum.

16k sounds good to me, means we can start locking tcheuchters out for the big games……

We’re averaging almost 15k this season when we’ve not been at our best. 16k stadium would make us a laughing stock and show we have absolutely ZERO ambition as a club.

Where did you see these figures? I thought it was 500 as an away end and 500 for walk up's.

States in the report that consideration should be given to increase the capacity to 18k and 20k if needed.

tinpot , needs to be 20k

Why, we barely fill the stadium as it is. Most of the folk who post on here hardly go, as evidenced in the match day threads. Are they likely to attend regularly if we've a shiny new stadium? If they do it wouldn't be sustained attendance.

What's the point in building a 20k stadium as you suggest if its only 3/4 full at best the majority of the time.

Correct, our attendances this season are given attendances going by tickets sold for a match, not actual clicks through the turnstiles and this has been the case for years.

A season ticket buy back scheme for matches is probably the way ahead to maximise income, lower capacity is obviously  going to price out many fans going forward but that is already happening. Have my doubt the footprint of the beach area would fit much more than 16,000 hence why this figure. If we want a large stadium and cheap tickets then kingsford is the option, If the beach then its lower capacity and higher prices.

16k would be embarrassing and tinpot. Would basically be us admitting we're a smaller club with less ambition than Hearts and Hibs.

I’d imagine as Brentford line up in there next 2 home games against spurs and Liverpool with only about 17k around them they might think as we do. F*ck hearts and hibs

Brentford moved from a 12k stadium to a 17k stadium. Had they downsized (as we are planning to do) then it'd also have been tinpot as fuck. Brentford had ambition, they built a bigger stadium than the one they were previously in and it paid off for them as within a year of it opening they'd been promoted to the Premier League.

By showing ambition they increased their average attendance from under 10 k to almost 17k.

So what will we realistically achieve with a new stadium? Average over last 3/4 seasons what 13k, to what then!

How financially and technically viable is it to build a 16k seater stadium with the option to increase to 20/22k? Not very, I’d have thought.

If Scotland is part hosting Euro 2028, is there a chance of getting funding from that central pot, to add to the mix?

No because pittodrie won't be used

Build it around the same size as the current stadium, even 18k wouldn't be quite so bad. And then get a good, winning team on the pitch which would see it filled every week.

Our home form this season has been good and we're averaging around 15k with 3 crowds out of 7 home league gamesalready above the intended capacity of the new stadium (likely to be 5 from 9 by this time next week).
