It's a very risky strategy from JG if we don't sign another defender especially given that Scales is on loan from Celtic who if we beat Partick could end up playing in the LC semi at Hampden.

McCrorie is needed in midfield he should only be played in defence in an emergency. As things stand one injury and McCrorie is back in defence. That is a ridiculous state of affairs unless he think MacKenzie can cover as a LCB.

McKenzie, whose never in his entire career played LCB, under Goodwin or Glass.

Difficult to comprehend the lack of cover in that area.

Agree 100%

The lack of defensive cover will cost us.

Not a chance Richardson (who’s questionable anyway), Stewart & Scales will play every game. There will be injuries & suspensions.

And if McCrorie is out of the midfield, we’re completely lightweight in there.

I support JG but far too many cannot see him doing wrong. Swallowing his chat basically but there are clearly issues with him that upset the squad apple cart. Stubbornness isn’t always a good/respected trait. Especially if it’s not backed up by results/performance

Defence is an absolute joke situation for one thing but there are plenty other questionable things about his work so far that some seem uncaring enough to question

Said since the start that his man management skills are shite.

Why should he fear a player he doesn’t want to play in his team though? Surely his own choices to play over him could easily offset a player he doesn’t want to play in another teams games excluding the 4/5 v us?

it makes little sense really.

I assume he doesn't play Ramirez because we have Miovski who is a better option, and it seems he likes Duk as back up. We've invested in long contracts for younger players. Miovski and Duk have a different skill set and look to be favoured for his style of play to Ramirez. That and it's fair to suggest there has been some kind of fall out between him and the club or at least Goodwin. Regardless of who is at fault it seems like all parties are as bad a s each other. I don't think our season will be defined solely by our games against Hearts. If we go through the season with the attitude of, "can't wait to play Hearts because Ramirez can't play" then we might as well chuck it now.

Would you really hand a team we'll likely be battling with for a league place a 15 goal a season striker just so they'd have to change line up against us rather than let them search for another option?

2 hours to get a defender in as if we go with just scales and Stewart it’s lunacy. All ifs but if Stewart gets injured or suspended leading up to the next Celtic game who plays defence. As has been said if one gets a bad injury and mccrorie has to go into defence we are missing him in midfield big time in the long term

Considering the mess he inherited, Mr Goodwin has done a great job. Points on the board at the right end of the table, navigated the group stages and lower league opponents and identified the shiftless arseholes who downed tools when their halfwit mate got the dunt. Onwards and upwards.

After 5 games he has 1 point more than Glass had last season. Decent start but great job? Hardly!

Not at all. Said for a good while he’s been shite at fixing our ‘easy fix’ defence

Done ok in some areas but his overall management as been poor in terms of player treatment clearly & also very expensive.

He (like Mcinnes) talks the chat & some cannot see past that.

I see JG as full of more shite chat than Mcinnes though. His stubbornness will be his downfall unless he can back up his ego

Glass never inherited a mess, he did however exit the Europa qualifiers and League Cup to 3 good butchers and 2 fine chandlers. Read the whole post, dimwit.

How can handing them a 15 goal player be weakening them? Come on min, you're at it

By handing them a striker that hasn’t been close to that level in six months at least & also reducing the game numbers they can use him.

Its simple really.

not to mention the financial boost
