englishred
I thought he did ok today, always hard when coming to a new league ect especially with the speed of our game. Still get worried about his rashness at times but hopefully that can be coached out/ Link to comment
a don in oz
Think it was clear early on when he arrived that he looked like he had many of the aspects needed to be decent but had a rough edge that needed removed and will cost us until it is (like midweek) but I think there are signs he could be really useful with the right people alongside him. He needs pace alongside him though, and needs to learn not to do last ditch tackles but to escort if he can't match someone else's pace. That said, he was solid today, apart from his one mad rush out to tackle on the edge of the box. Does feel like Gartenmann, Rubezic, Jensen is going to be a solid back three though assuming he does keep progressing (which imo he has) Link to comment

YorkDon
Big boost for Ruby, and hopefully he continues to progress. I (along with just about everyone else) thought he was gonna be a total dud after the first few games. Needs to cut out the rash dives in though. Link to comment
RAZOR
He'll get a courtesy cap so he can't play for anyone else. Link to comment

Haha aye but I'm sure he played in a world cup before signing for us? Wouldn't have been 94, would it? Or maybe it was after he agreed to sign for us and was it he played in a game against Gascoigne and marked him out the game? Definitely one of those 2! 1 Link to comment

It was actually Euro 96 we signed them after… they both did play at the world cup in 94 right enough. i meant world not work... Link to comment

Aye was the '94 WC he played in, was Bulgaria's stand out player in their run to the semi-final. Think we got him as he was turning 30....that and his chain smoking probably caught up with him so we never saw the best of him (to put it mildly) Tsvetanov his mate also a Bulgarian international. Honkingly bad player, even more honkingly bad hairstyle Link to comment

I think the main reason was Rangers played Famagusta in Europe the season before, with Gascoigne in his prime. They put Kiriakov on man-marking role and Gazza never got a kick of the ball, he was exceptional. Link to comment
