Another completely made up rumour to wind up the virgins refreshing this page every 5 minutes.

Seemed to work well.

Have a good day.

I'd just arrived at Pittodrie with my Dons Youngsters autograph book only to read this. Sad.

Not sure what you're getting at here..

Played well away to both Frankfurt and PAOK, As well as beating Frankfurt at Pittodrie. Those are good teams well ahead of the Scottish standard. We dug deep and created a lot of chances, scored some nice goals too.

Still trying to figure out the eye roll. Are you one of the unrealistic fans that thinks we should have pumped the lot of them?

Our poor performance in Europe is seen, by some, as a success. We were average at best. That's what I'm getting at

Wouldn't call it a success, but we did put in some good performances along the way. I didn't say we were great in Europe as a whole, but a few particular games we played very well and we got some good points in that group.

Sad thing is our performances in Europe would be seen as a success by other Scottish clubs. Relatively speaking, we far outperform them, even if we were underperforming by our own standards.

No chance. Would either be tomorrow or Friday

Noticed Shinnie was at Cormack Pk today, when the players are normally on their day off - unless in getting treatment for injuries

Jeepers.

Aff Wednesdays, nae in Mondays and rarely show up on Saturdays.

Must be great being a "football player".

Perhaps one of the reasons we aren't too good at the moment.

Imagine any other walk of life, work wise, "working" so sparingly?

Has any other team used this German group to appoint a manager and if so, whom?

And has any club in it's history asked for an outside corporation to help with choosing a manager?

Are we super hip and trendy or fucking clueless?

If you go on there site , Frankfurt, Bayern Munich,Wolfsburg, vitesse (Dutch), Leverkusen, some other German teams , St Louis city (mls) , Aalborg (dainish) has all used them , whether that is finding a manager or just helping set up a system of a style of play they want to adopt throughout there youth to first teams you’d have to dig more to find that out

Being a footballer is a piece of piss.

Ballet dancers have it far tougher.

So do pianists, posties, pornstars, delivery drivers, fishermen, cleaners, climbers, waiters, waitresses, rock stars, lawyers, librarians(delete that! Lazy bastards!), filmstars, baristas and factory workers.

They're not off, they're just working from home.

Yip but again we're doing it arse about face which could cause issues down the line.

Lets be honest in modern football it's very unlikely that a manager will be at 1 club for more than 3 years, so this is why having a proper structure in place is extremely important.

Someone like Thelin could come in and get things going, he does well maybe wins a cup, chances are bigger teams will want him.  If we have the structure in place it's so much easier to replace him as you're effectively just plugging a new piece in the jigsaw then hopefully what he set in motion can be taken to a new level with the new manager.

Indeed - if you get the structure right I guess hiring a manager becomes similar to our approach to signing players - take someone in who's on an upward trajectory in their career - give them the platform to improve and put themselves in the shop window and then replace them with similar 2 or 3 years down the line. The technical director you would hope would be more long term to bring the continuity to the whole thing and each manager would ideally fit with the same general footballing philosophy so there's some continuity that way as well.

The problem being no1 lasts long at our level if even remotely decent.

Jack Ross spotted in St Nicholas Centre Superdrug buying a 12 pack of ribbed condoms.

Fake news, as Superdrug has closed down. So he had to go to Boots just beside HMV and get them from there!

I’m not sure I’ll be able to trust any post in this thread anymore.

You've been in Iraq too long. Superdrug closed in Trinity but not St Nicholas. The Boots on Union Street beside hmv has been closed for ages

McGhee gets (correctly) crucified by the Dandies and yet, he tried to get the lads in on a Sunday for recovery sessions, stopped the day off on a Wednesday, banned alcohol, amongst other things.

The players clearly thought “fuck that.”

McGhee let himself down by being a shit manager but he did try (and failed) to introduce some additional sessions
