SkyeDon
Seems simple enough. Get the lad back and give him to the end of the season to prove his fitness and ability. Otherwise let him go. Also agree. It's vital that he proves himself between now and the summer. Otherwise, he'll be off. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Not sure we are in a position to allow players to "prove fitness and ability" at this stage of the season I know what you mean but again for me it seems simple enough. If he can't force his way ahead of other players at some point between now and the end of the season then I'd define that as not good enough (or not fit enough). No need to over complicate stuff barassie. Leave that to all the airheads on here. Link to comment

buchanskii
We need Pawlett back so McGinn doesn't have to play on the wing and that lethargic oaf Vernon is benched. There's a good player in there somewhere, so long as his fag-paper legs don't fail him when his confidence is high after a run of games. Link to comment

Didn't see much evidence of it at the weekend, he was subbed by Hasselbaink early in the second half. Not impressive at all. Link to comment
baconman
Needs to be recalled. Also, give him until the end of the season to prove himself. Hes had a few chances now so cant be fairer than that! Link to comment
StandFree1982
we've had this argument before pawlett IS nastyI have to agree. He had a bit of a nasty streak when he broke into the team. I've not seen it much since. Link to comment

McGinn was still banging them in when Vernon was through the middle and McGinn was one of the wider players of the "front 3" earlier in the season! Vernon was played through the middle pretty much right through to the County away match Link to comment
Aberdeen_Fan
He's not got it in my opinion.I had high hopes 3 years ago. He's gone backwards.Just squad filling until his release in the summer Hmm I still think if he stayed fit he could do a job for us. Problem is a gentle breeze seems to knock him over. I think he should still get a chance though. Link to comment
StandFree1982
what a fuckin cheek, what right does hasselbaink have to sub him? you dont HAVE to agree youre agreeing because its trueIt is. Mackie used to have a bit of a mean streak, he'd be a pain in the arse for most defenders. Then he got fat, slow and lazy. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
It is. Mackie used to have a bit of a mean streak, he'd be a pain in the arse for most defenders. Then he got fat, slow and lazy. Aye only in that his second touch was more often than not an attempted tackle to regain possession again. Mackie's "mean streak" was only from frustration & headless chicken type "football" Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Mackie was ace Best striker since Harper It's just a shame that money has ruined Scottish football and that he chose the big dollars of America 2 Link to comment
Patty
He said in an interview that last season they managed to figure out the root of his hamstring problems, so maybe not being affected by that and getting a good run in the team is doing him some good. Keep up the good performances for the rest of the season hopefully. Link to comment
King Street Loon
I said last season that I didn't think he'd be of any use to us due to his ongoing injuries and inconsistent form.Pleased that he's proving me wrong and show's what a bit of faith and a run in the team can do. Keep it up Pawlett. Link to comment
ebbe
I thought he was excellent yesterday and is improving in every game under mcinnes. Link to comment

Huntlysheep
He's been a revelation this season, always carries a threat going forward, so glad we're seeing the real Peter Pawlett i've waited a long time & was unsure if we'd ever see him fulfil the potential. There's only 1 Peter Pawlett. Link to comment
Redstar
He didn't appeal to the GWT's sense of "fair play"...one dive too many...Mchuns a hun therefore a cheat...Pawlett will flourish under Mchun. Link to comment

Byrne Baby Byrne
I thought Pawlett was finished. He's been our best player so far this season. Fingers crossed he stays fit and keeps this form up. Link to comment
Dynamo
I agree he's started the season well. Keep it up. He's always had potential but as soon as he gets going gets injured and is out for ages, so hopefully he's over those problems. Link to comment
Stoney
ive never thought he was "finished" and always rated him BOOM Like you rated wittle kwiss? Link to comment
tommo1903
Peter Pawlett is our best player. Some people can spot a player. Link to comment
barassie_afc
This place is becoming worse, playground antics. I told you he was pish, naw you didnae, I said he was great. Judge Pawlett at end of season , one goal v Partick and a string of performance that would be expected for a professional footballer , which to be fair is a vast improvement on delivering fuck all previously. Is his contract up next season , therefore should we expect the inevitable exit in January if his form improves Link to comment
