They're both orthopox viruses, very similar in structure. It's not a new thing using smallpox vaccine to prevent monkeypox....they've been using it in Africa for quite some time to prevent monkeypox and is considered to be around 85% effective. Because monkeypox kills up to 11% of sufferers (less so in the western world with supportive treatment in hospital) , the risks of having the vaccination are reckoned to outweigh the risks of catching the disease,

What is fucking bananas is they're still only saying that they're still only surmising that it can be spread sexually. Given that the recent outbreaks are close to 100% affecting arse bandits, they need to stop pussyfooting around and say it as it is.

It's "free" at the point of contact. That's why I put "free" in quotation marks. Pretty obvious why I done that, I'd have thought.
