Sorry Logie Coldstone, any nature activities that suits dogs, general beautiful nature spots, waterfalls, caves, castles and grounds etc, any info at all, hanging about Aboyne/ballater/Banchory/braemar/ will visit balmoral, cannot walk mountains or really hard walks due to fibro but will push through hard walks for nice views. Any suggestions @Edwin Starr any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

decent walk at aboyne. You can also drop down to Dess Waterfall from the road beside it, if you can’t be arsed with the walk.

In Banchory, Ride has decent lunch stuff. Avoid Tease on the high street - good food but owner is a hun.

So far a have

tomnaverie stone circle

glen tanar national park

dess waterfall

potarch bridge

dinnet (burn o vat)

crathes castle

migvie stone

birsemore loch

the rest probably drive about looking at the scenery, spent most of the time up the west coast from Dumfries to gairloch where I stayed for years, haven’t really done east coast, excited for the 2 days away, anytime I’ve went to the game I’ve drove up watched the game then drove down the road the after the game so haven’t spent a lot of time in the area.

Jump aff?

Is it pish?, was on places of interest which a thought strange, but must have historic significance be it military or what not, don’t really know the area Mobby just flinging out suggestions to ask the hatters about cracking places of interest, beauty spots, dog walks that kind of thing, staying at the cairngorm bothies as a base, will defo be going to burn o vat/loch Kinord.

even just a drive about in decent weather would be a bonus

Seven Bridges walk @ Ballater

The Cairns walk @ Braemar - the one with the pyramid which is pretty cool

Linn of Dee is always spectacular and they have some decent walks of varying distances for all abilities.

Agree with the other suggestions, Burn o'Vat is a cracker.

This site is worth a look - https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/cairngorms/braemar.shtml  and  https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/cairngorms/ballater.shtml
