Tbilisi was fucking ace, trip back there would be lovely

Indeed.

Such memories provoked me into booking my first Scotland away (bar Cyprus visits) since the Sevco debacle of 2012.

Also booked it when it looked like Dons had (less than) zero chance of getting into Europe.

Need that 4 or 5 days wife-down-social-time on a regular basis.

Doohan will be 1 of the 4 allowed "association trained" players right? Meaning one of the youngsters could go on List B.

Our previous old European opponent Shkëndija knocked out of the Conference League on penalties by Haverfordwest of Wales.

Shkendija arguably should have knocked us out of Europe in 2015. Thank fuck for the combination of Andrew Considine and Danny Ward in the last minute of the tie at home keeping us in it.

A very sore one for the North Macedonians to bear, getting beat by a Welsh League team. 😔

Biggest defeat since Alexander the Great on the banks of the Hydaspes River imo.

Tbilisi is amazing, but too far away.

Somewhere in a central/Eastern Europe please. 0,5L of Weiß for a’body.

Shkendija's result against the Welsh team was a shocker. I've been following their progress in their Prva Liga since we played them and their a very decent outfit.

If we end up getting Dinamo Tbilisi, it'll be a very tricky tie to negotiate min.

Never been to Georgia (or on a midnight train😉) but it looks spot on and definitely a place worth adventuring to, going by the pictures in the Wizzair in-flight brochures.👍

Havers min.  Be absolutely delighted if we get a tie back there

The cheapest route to Tbilisi appears to take 18 hours and from Aberdeen required stops at Gatwick, Vienna and Turkey

If we draw them I might actually attempt that for the #scenes

Took me over a week to get there for the last Scotland game. Winners travel via Yerevan.

Away, Alexander the Great won that one.  He turned back cos his men wanted to go home, not because he was beaten. Champ.

Is it one of these teams we get then?

Europa League 2023/24 Playoff-Round

  • The Netherlands: Ajax
  • Austria: LASK
  • Scotland: Aberdeen
  • Serbia: Cukaricki
  • Ukraine: Zorya Luhansk
  • Belgium: Union SG
  • Switzerland: Lugano

No they're all pot 1 with us, barring Lugano. We're pot 1 and we play either a pot 3 or pot 4 team. Apart from Lugano, there's ties to play before we know who it could be for certain.
