Subscriber to RedTV international and get a VPN. £180 straight to the club for every game home and away.

Plus the cost of a VPN but that can be used for other things too and is only circa £5 per month.

I did that ages ago, but they have worked out a way of knowing you are using a VPN and it stopped working

I still pay it however for the reruns

Haha maybe he has, hence this statement

Surely by the same token you need to to more research?

Well if he had, you'd think he'd include that along with the other graph? If there's an obvious correlation between home games being televised and all other revenue streams taking a hit, I'd like to see it.

Im not the one making the decisions!

Should also add that the Swedish league doesn't JUST show games involving AIK and Malmo, the two biggest clubs.

The comparison is flawed

All that Cormack and his fellow chairmen care about is fleecing fans for every penny,. And having games televised mean they lose out on wringing out every penny from the fans, the people that the club care about most, apart from themselves ofcourse,

If his reasoning for not televising is the thought of lesser crowds, revenue etc- he's right to oppose it.

However- he cites the Swedish league as an example, and fails to provide evidence of their diminishing revenues as a result of their televised games.

Wish he would stop posting stuff like this. Completely embarrasses the club. He speaks about us only selling 48 so its a higher amount per game but what he fails to mention is that we have actually sold the lot and they only want to show 48-68 games. If sky only show 48 we are aloud to put the other 20 games out to tender. Should be almost 200 games to tender not 20 if we have only sold 48. He's tried to make it look like a great deal which it maybe would be had we only sold 48-68 but that isn't the case.

He’s putting far too much emphasis on a price per game - which is a pretty empty stat. Yes obviously it’s going to be a greater value per game when you’re selling the 48 most watchable ones? If we showed all 200 odd games in the season then the value per game would be far far less because St Johnstone vs Livingston is worth next to nothing. Daft daft daft. We should be focussing on the overall value of the deal and if anything wanting to get more games on tv. Only way we are going to grow as a league is focusing on better coverage/exposure of the game.

I also think we shouldn’t be comparing ourselves with Sweden and Norway anyway, who are countries with poorly supported teams - especially Norway who for the large part are big EPL fanboys (and I mean more so than here). Relative to most of Europe, Scotland is a big footballing country and that’s shown by the fact our attendances per capita are the highest in Europe and we sit 8th in the European Coefficient table. We need to be looking at the likes of Belgium and asking why we aren’t getting similar to what they are.

Haha have just read twitter

Has he made an absolute arse of it?

Ie we HAVE sold the rights to all matches - they just choose to only show 48 of them?

Been reading up on it as well. Basically, yeah, it's a shambles of a statement.

Fails to consider a multitude of other probabilities and possibilities, also.

Cormack currently getting shredded on Twitter. I wish he would just fuck off.

Problem with being transparent and available to fans is that he will likely take flack from non educated idiots.

It is quite simple what has happened today, he has taken a dig at Stewart Robertson and the huns because they refuse to work with the SPFL or any of the other clubs. We are close to losing a record deal that was negotiated mainly by Cormack on the back of the Deloitte report, which confirms what Cormack is saying is 100% correct. Every club except two are in favour of the deal, and the two clubs in question are run by complete idiots, whilst the others have successful businessmen and young innovative people on the board.

The pay per game comparison is factual regardless of how people want to spin it. The majority of clubs have no ambition to sell loads more games and affect attendances etc, also even if we did have the appetite to sell more games, no broadcaster is even interested to show them.

Anyone who thinks that our own club chairman is doing a deal that won't maximise the investment in our club is absolutely clueless. All you need to do is look at the huns who are scared to announce their annual accounts and have been peddling YouTube videos all week saying they haven't made as much money as people think and they've got no money etc. This is the club that are going against everyone else, a club ran by crooks. Harsh reality is that everyone would like more money in Scottish football but the money actually has to be on the table in the first place, we have a chance to secure our future in the medium term and then look at a better deal further down the line. He's literally secured 13million extra a year in to the game and folk are slaughtering him.

If that were true we would have almost 200 other games we could sell. We don’t as they have sold the lot bar maybe 20 that could become available.

Surely it's simple?

Swedish league gets more money, yes, because every single game is televised

Cormacks concern is if that was to happen here, the benefit of the extra tv income would severely erode match day income such as season tickets, general sale tickets, merchandise and corporate

I dont know the numbers, but the logic is sound, surely ?

Even then, would we get a broadcaster who wanted to show every single game? I doubt it

I still don't understand why teams don't do their own channels  - I would happily pay £20 even to watch every game with away games meaning the home club gets a %

Damn sight cheaper and easier than actually going

AFL over here - every game has been on council telly for years until next season (thenit will be limited council telly and all online PPV)  and crowds are still 60k all the time. I think it’s a myth that people just wouldn’t turn up.

you go to the fitba for a carry on.

You’re not paying for anything specific though.

Some of these apps contain access to hundreds of different channels. You don’t even really know what you are getting. How can you be held responsible for that?

Haha that your argument for if you ever get caught?

"Aye but come on, aye I gave him money, but I wasn't sure what it was for"

If that logic worked, people buying anything illegal would say the same

Buying stole property is illegal. No matter your claims of innocence, you can get done.

If you pay your neighbour £50 to tap your mains into the local lamppost it’s not just the neighbour that gets done ?

I love how Cormack gets ripped into these West Coast arseholes at any given opportunity.

I've no doubt, he 100% knows what he's speaking about. He's a local bloke that's went to America as a businessman and became a multi millionaire, who invests in our club.

Fcuk knows what Livingston are holding out for either, they are bottom feeders who offer zero to Scottish football and should take what they are given.

I've got to laugh at some of the comments on here from folk that think they have the same business acumen as DC, Alan Sugar and Duncan Bannatyne, when in reality they work at Morrisons butcher department in Inverurie, slicing bacon.
