daytripping
Every manager should be on a 1 year rolling contract, was it Milne who signed up his deal? Link to comment

Maybe, the compensation is not as much as we think. Binning them makes them due 100% and they are under no obligation to negotiate. As does gardening leave but at least that way we don't have to fork out in one lump sum, we just continue paying them monthly. Best option is if McInnes decides to walk. Then we can negotiate a reduced pay off 1 Link to comment

But remember the Euro Championships are on this summer and will take precedence over everything. Waiting till summer to replace him leaves the new manager minimal time to assess what's left of the squad after all the projected departures (and in a non-competitive setting) then bring in new players on top. Getting him out now gives him the chance to see the players in competitive matches...assessing their attitude is almost as important as assessing their ability. It’s something to think about, but after today, there’s 11 games left. Do they have someone lined up?, Do they risk rocking the boat now and it being a reason for failing to get third and the opportunity for £4M from group stage football. ‘on the balance of it, he will stay on till the summer ‘ else we cannot secure European football Link to comment
daytripping
Get rid of Docherty now and get a great coach in, pay him off. We would be better without that toxic man. Link to comment

Donmacca
You don't spend 7-8 years at a club if you haven't become a fan. He dragged the club back to being respectable however his tone has changed from wanting to be a challenger club to settling for 3rd, best of the rest. When he comes out at pressers and says we're only going for 3rd it shows no ambition to the fans. Couple that with boring football and the fans will always turn. Link to comment

Have to say, I am now feeling that he should stay, I just wish to fuck he would change the style and get his haircut He looked great with the sides and back shaved Go to the bbc sounds app and fire on bbc Scotland. Rewind it back to about 15/20 minutes in and you'll get the interview, followed by all the discussion amongst pundits Link to comment

That Cormack jumps and takes someone just because they are conveniently available rather than someone with the right mindset for the longer term. My worry is that Stephen Glass would be foisted on us like some sort of experiment. Link to comment

Oh I've been in the Dek out camp since 2018. I've got to the point that I'm not sure i care enough at the moment. Probably a symptom of not getting to go to matches. Link to comment

But in the aftermath of the Huns situation less than 6 months later the mood was completely different. That period changed everything and trust had gone with a large proportion of the fan base at that point. So many parts of that period smell fishy. McInnes suddenly deciding that Daniel Harvie and Frank Ross were good enough to play against the Huns after barely giving them a second glance prior to that was interesting to say the least Ha ha. Still remember the collective intake of breath. We’re early (by McInnes substitute standards) in leg 2 of honouring the glorious journey, and yes admittedly days from he’d turned them down over our compensation. Coming on for Aberdeen (managed by a guy who is notorious for never ever blooding youth) Daniel Harvie...... Link to comment

Yeah it's a shame it's going to end this way as it will tarnish the memory somewhat, though if he goes now it's before the real hatred of what he's turned us into kicks in. Ideally he'd have left us for a club in England with everyone's best wishes and a nice compensation sum in the bank, instead he'll be mutually consented and nobody really wins from that. strachanmcgheegoal
I can live with the standard when it works. It doesn’t. It hasn’t for three years and stubbornly sticking to it (because of a squad he assembled) it’s used up all his ‘credit.’ He’s cracking because he’s no safety net. Link to comment

Think Ash Taylor can be excused because otherwise he could be mistaken for trying to get his manager sacked every single game he plays. Link to comment
